Duties: Prepare conceptual and final construction drawings in Bentley Inroads and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Prepare project specifications in a variety of formats. Develop exhibits and maps in ArcGIS. Site civil, roadway and railroad design. Grading and drainage design and earthwork 3-D modeling. Utility sizing and design, including for storm drain, sanitary sewer and water systems. Advanced hydrologic and hydraulic analyses (beyond rational method). Prepare applications and coordinate with permit agencies for securing approvals. Technical report writing, including design memoranda and special study reports. Coordinate the work of subconsultants of varying disciplines (i.e., survey, structural, electrical). Coordinate projects through bid and construction phases, including: field visits and contractor interface, RFI responses and prepare construction field directives.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering and 2 years of experience. Requires 2 years of experience with CAD Modeling. 2 years of experience with MS Office. 2 years of experience with civil design drawing practices and standards. 1 year of experience with hydrology and hydraulics calculations. 1 year of report writing experience. Requires Engineer-In-Training Certificate (EIT).
