JMA Seeking Talented GIS Analyst At JMA, you’ll be a key player in transforming California’s public transit and railway systems. As we expand into high-speed rail and other significant transportation ventures, we’re looking for a skilled GIS Analyst to bring valuable geographic insights to our civil engineering projects. Description: As a GIS Analyst at JMA you will be responsible for developing GIS databases, conducting spatial analyses, and producing maps and other graphic displays of geospatial data. You will help drive informed decision-making and bring a positive impact to California transportation. This position is a full-time, Monday through Friday, remote work setting with some on-site project related visits. Standard work week is 40 hours per week with some overtime based on project deadlines. This position requires California residency. Pay: $80,000 – $100,000 per year based on your skill level and experience. Minimum Qualifications: Education & Experience: High school diploma, with 5+ years of relevant GIS experience and 3+ years on USA-based projects. Technical Skills: Proficient in ESRI ArcGIS, Bentley OpenRail, and/or AutoDesign Civil 3D CAD Software. Analytical & Field Savvy: Experience with spatial data analysis, data modeling, GIS field equipment, database maintenance, and records research. Civil Engineering Knowledge: Broad understanding of engineering principles and standards. Remote-Ready: You thrive in a remote work setting and are ready for occasional travel. Job Duties Include: Data Collection & Analysis: Gather geographical data from satellite and aerial imagery, survey and other map data, record research, and perform spatial analysis to uncover patterns and trends. Mapping & Visualization: Create clear and informative maps, graphs, and spatial visuals using GIS software and establish data collection applications for field mapping. Database Management & Collaboration: Work closely with CAD software and collaborate with our design staff to implement, analyze and maintain GIS databases for our projects, ensuring accurate and organized data to drive project success.
