Ari Niemi Team Lead & Sr. Rail Engineer Ari Niemi is a Sr. Rail Engineer at JMA where he oversees a design team on a variety of Public Works transportation projects. He brings extensive expertise in conceptual design, pre-construction planning, construction, operation, inspection, and maintenance of heavy civil infrastructure on major rail and site development projects for both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining JMA, Ari served over 12 years as the Vice President of Engineering & Development at a major US trackwork contractor where he was responsible for the strategy, administration, direction, and overall management of design-build rail projects. Ari has successfully delivered nearly $1B in construction projects including over $400M in design/build rail projects throughout his career. Additionally, Ari and the JMA team have a 10-year plus history of collaboration on a wide variety of rail projects through the Western United States.
